Where is Neighborhood Self Storage located?

Our property is located at 12610 Tanner Road in Houston, Texas. With proximity to communities like Bellaire, Katy, Cinco Ranch, Aldine, Tomball, Cypress, and Jersey Village, we’re the top choice for storage in northwest Houston!


What are your access hours?

You can access your storage unit between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day of the week. If you’re interested in 24-hour access, please ask our manager for details.


When is your office open?

Our office hours run from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, providing you time to speak with one of our team members without rushing your day or compromising your schedule.


How big are your storage units?

Our rentals come in a variety of types and sizes. We provide climate-controlled and conventional units ranging in size from 5’x10’ to 10’x30’, while our vehicle parking spaces range from 13’x35’ to 14’x50’. Use our online calculator to input your list of belongings and quickly determine the right size rental for your needs!


Is climate control right for me?

We recommend climate-controlled units for any items you want to store and then bring back indoors again. This may include electronics, important papers and documents, books, and wood or fabric furniture. Our team would be happy to help you determine if this feature is right for you.


What if I don’t need climate control?

While climate control is right for some renters, it may not be necessary according to your needs. Units without climate control are often referred to as standard or conventional rentals and they’re equivalent to storing in an outdoor garage with a roll-up style door. Standard storage is appropriate only for items that are impervious to mold, mildew, and humidity or that you do not plan to bring back into a climate-controlled environment.


Where can I buy boxes and moving supplies?

You can purchase packing supplies right here in our office! We offer many sizes of moving boxes, wardrobe boxes, dish pack kits, packing materials, bubble wrap, mattress bags, tape, rope, and tie-down materials.


Where can I rent a moving truck?

You can also rent a moving truck or trailer on our property. We’ll get you all squared away for move-in day in no time at all! Even if you don’t rent a moving truck, you’ll have no problem moving your heavy or bulky items with the help of our carts and dollies!


Can I store my car, boat, or RV on your property?

You sure can. We provide a wide array of storage options for boats, RVs, and other large vehicles. We offer covered and uncovered parking spaces as well as fully enclosed rentals that include lights and electricity.


Do I have to sign a long-term lease?

You can choose to sign a long-term lease, but it’s not mandatory. We provide both short- and long-term rentals along with low-cost insurance options. You’ll be able to pay your bill conveniently online, too. We’re all about making the storage experience as simple as possible for our tenants. Is there a security deposit?

There is a $500 security deposit on large units that are not storing boats or RV's.  There is a one time administration fee of $25.00 per move in.
